This before & after might look subtle — and that’s exactly the point.
When it comes to semi-permanent brows, not everyone wants something bold or high-contrast. Some clients just want to fill a few gaps, define their shape, and still look like themselves. And that’s where realism brows come in.
At By Rachel Jade in Worthing, I specialise in natural-looking machine hair stroke brows that enhance your features without overpowering them. This transformation is a perfect example of how less really can be more.
✨ Client Case: Barely-There to Balanced & Defined
This client had naturally beautiful brows to begin with — but like many women, she struggled with:
Sparsity through the fronts and tails
Lack of evenness
A shape that didn’t quite frame the face as well as it could
Using hyper-realistic machine strokes, I created a brow that: ✔ Follows her natural hair growth✔ Fills gaps without blockiness✔ Adds symmetry and polish✔ Will heal to a soft, subtle finish
She now has brows that look effortlessly full — but still completely natural.
🧠 What Are Realism Brows?
Realism brows (also known as hyperrealism or hair stroke brows) are a semi-permanent brow tattoo done with a digital machine — not a manual blade like microblading. That means:
Less trauma to the skin
More precise, finer strokes
Longer-lasting results
Suitable for more skin types, including mature or oily skin
These brows mimic your natural hair pattern and give the illusion of fullness and structure without a “filled-in” look.
📋 What to Expect During Your Appointment
Every treatment starts with a detailed consultation, including:
Brow mapping to suit your face shape and bone structure
Pigment matching to blend with your natural hair
A walkthrough of what to expect during healing
The full appointment takes around 2.5 to 3 hours, and you’ll leave with brows that look defined (but never too dark). Over the following weeks, they’ll soften and settle into a more natural tone.
❓ Realism Brows FAQ
How long do they last?Around 12–18 months, depending on skin type and lifestyle. Top-ups are recommended annually.
Do they hurt?Discomfort is very minimal — I use a strong topical numbing cream to keep you comfy.
Are they better than microblading? For most clients, yes! The digital machine is gentler, more precise, and better for long-term skin health.
Can you work over old PMU?Sometimes — I’d need to see a clear photo to advise. In some cases, laser removal may be recommended first.
